Beneficiary: ![]() The powers of the Directorate-General of Environmental Quality (DGCA) extend to cover waste management, and its priorities include integrating the environment into other policies, promoting sustainable development, raising community awareness, encouraging the population to take into account the environment, managing and planning waste and waste treatment, and inspecting and monitoring compliance with regulations on environmental pollution, impact and activities. Its powers therefore include the managing and monitoring of Environmental Management Systems and promoting the use of clean technology. Website: http://www.larioja.org/ma/index.htm Partners LThe ADER was set up to promote business and industry in the Autonomous Community of La Rioja, encouraging it to grow and placing it at the forefront of Europe. The ADER is a public authority of the Government of La Rioja attached to the Regional Government’s Department for Agriculture and Economic Development. It is responsible for developing economic and industrial promotional policies, mainly for SMEs. The aim of the ADER is to promote regional economic development by encouraging the consolidation and creation of companies in La Rioja and by creating an environment in which companies of the region can prosper. Website: http://www.ader.es The ICR is responsible for the Vineyard Register, agri-food quality and control, livestock, and technological development, analysis, and research. It has two technology centres: the Meat Industry Technology Centre (CTIC) and the Mushroom Research Technology Centre (CTICH). Its duties include: defining lines of work for agricultural trials, particularly with new techniques and crops; applying and publicizing results; monitoring, inspecting, promoting and controlling the quality of agri-food products during their production, manufacture and sale, and the promotion and authorisation of different Designations of Origin and quality labels. Website: http://www.larioja.org/agricultura/ ![]() The Institute for Agri-food Services, Control and Certification (ECCYSA) is a public undertaking of the Government of La Rioja attached to the Council for Agriculture and Economic Development. It was created to allow operators of Agri-food Figures of Quality of the Autonomous Community of La Rioja access to the external inspection and control services required for the latter. In line with its vocation for service to the agri-food industry of La Rioja, ECCYSA is equipped with the human resources and materials it needs to carry out trials, training activities and generally all activities related to its main aim.
